August 2025 Marvella Newsletter

Dear Marvella Residents,

As summer winds down, here are a few quick reminders to keep our community safe, clean, and running smoothly.

Marvella Community Pool – Season Extension Poll

The Board of Directors is exploring the possibility of extending the pool season by up to two weeks beyond Labor Day. Your feedback is important! Please complete our quick Season Extension Poll so the Board can make an informed decision:

Homeowner Reminders:

Lend a Hand, Keep Marvella Grand

Please help us by doing your part: pick up after pets, report any suspicious activity, and let us know if you see anything in need of attention around the neighborhood. A little goes a long way in keeping Marvella beautiful and safe for everyone!

Reminders

  • For your convenience, 2 pet waste stations are available and located by the pool on South Olive Court and by the mailboxes on East Lake Drive.
  • Looking at making renovations or improvements to your home? Please remember to fill out the Architectural Review Request Form and submit it to Michael Schenfeld and Carlos Arreola-Karr for review prior to making improvements.
  • Please remember to maintain your lawn spaces, including trees, pruning, weed and debris removal, and landscaping replacement.
  • Remember to store your trash and recycling bins, and any other unsightly outdoor equipment, out of view from the street. Please place trash cans at the curb no earlier than the night before scheduled pickup and remove them by the end of pickup day.

Mindful Play Reminder

We love seeing kids outside enjoying the neighborhood! Please remind children to:

  • Respect neighbors’ property and landscaping
  • Play safely in the streets, watching for cars
  • Pick up toys, sports gear, and trash before heading home

Let’s keep Marvella safe, tidy, and welcoming for everyone!

District News:

The following updates were given at yesterday's Board of Directors meeting:

Pool Update

The pool has experienced inconsistent water temperatures, fluctuating between overly hot and overly cold. Our regular service provider, Perfect Pools, was unable to identify the cause. Pool and Spa Medics has been brought in to:

  • Clean and service the pool water heater
  • Resolve the temperature fluctuation problem
  • Investigate and repair the ongoing water loss issue

We’ll provide updates once repairs are complete and systems are stabilized.

Street & Road Repairs

Areas needing repair have been documented and submitted to the City of Centennial. Crews are expected to complete work in late fall.

Landscaping

The District is working with Nature’s Workforce to update landscaping contracts, including more specific details for entrance and pool flowers. Updated snow removal contracts are also being prepared for the upcoming season.

Security

Flock Security will be installing signage for their camera system throughout the community. The installation date will be announced soon.

Covenant Enforcement

Violation warnings have been issued for:

  • Consistent weed growth
  • Grocery items left in yards for extended periods
  • Landscaping maintenance concerns

We appreciate residents’ cooperation in maintaining the beauty and curb appeal of our neighborhood.
