Marvella Metropolitan District - January 2026 Newsletter

Winter Reminders & Seasonal Considerations:
Winter Weather & Snow Removal
Winter weather brings shared responsibilities throughout the community. Please remember to:
- Clear sidewalks within 24 hours after snowfall, including side yards on corner lots.
- Avoid street parking during and immediately after snowstorms to allow for plowing and emergency access.
- Use pet-safe, environmentally friendly ice melt.
- Lend a helping hand to neighbors when possible.
Barking Dog Reminder
Marvella is located within the City of Centennial, and residents are reminded that the City has noise regulations in place to help maintain a peaceful residential environment.
Centennial’s noise rules prohibit unreasonably loud or disruptive noise that disturbs others in residential areas. In addition, the City’s animal regulations specifically address persistent dog barking. Under City code, a dog may be considered a nuisance if barking or other noise is audible beyond the owner’s property for extended periods of time, particularly during early morning or evening hours.
What this means for residents:
- Please be mindful of noise levels, especially late at night and early in the morning.
- Dogs should not be left outside barking for extended periods. If your dog begins barking continuously, please bring them indoors or take steps to address the behavior.
- Being attentive to noise helps support good neighbor relationships and overall quality of life within the community.
If persistent barking or other animal-related noise becomes an ongoing concern, residents may file a complaint directly with Centennial Animal Services using the City’s online form:

Homeowner Reminders:
Ways to Keep Marvella Marvelous
- Thank you for helping make Marvella a great place to live. Everyday efforts from residents help keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
- For your convenience, two pet waste stations are available and located by the pool on South Olive Court and by the mailboxes on East Lake Drive.
- As we move through the season, please continue clearing leaves and debris from sidewalks and gutters and keeping yards neat to support drainage and overall curb appeal.
- Looking to make renovations or improvements to your home? Please remember to fill out the Architectural Review Request Form and submit it to Michael Schenfeld and Carlos Arreola-Karr for review prior to beginning work.
- Architectural Review approval is required prior to beginning exterior improvements. Planning ahead now can help avoid delays when spring arrives.
- Please remember to maintain your lawn spaces, including trees, pruning, weed and debris removal, and any necessary landscaping replacement.
- Remember to store your trash and recycling bins, and any other unsightly outdoor equipment, out of view from the street. Please place trash cans at the curb no earlier than the night before scheduled pickup and remove them by the end of pickup day.
- We love seeing kids outside enjoying the neighborhood! Please remind children to respect neighbors’ property and landscaping, play safely in the streets and watch for cars, pick up toys, sports gear, and trash before heading home.
Let’s keep Marvella safe, tidy, and welcoming for everyone!
Trash & Recycling Reminder

- Presidents Day on Monday, February 16, 2026
Reminders:
- Place carts out no earlier than the night before pickup.
- Remove containers by the end of service day.
- Break down cardboard boxes.
- Secure cart lids and keep recycling clean and dry.
Covenant Compliance Reminder
Many of the items noted above—including trash storage, property maintenance, noise considerations, and snow removal—are addressed within the District’s community covenants.
The District follows a progressive enforcement process, which focuses on communication and providing homeowners an opportunity to address issues before any further action is taken. Residents are encouraged to review the Covenant Enforcement Policy on the District website.
