Ways to Keep Marvella Marvelous
Lawn Care Tips for Early Heat
As temperatures begin to rise, a few simple steps can help keep your landscaping in good shape while using water efficiently:
- Water during the cooler parts of the day.
- Check sprinkler systems for leaks or overspray before turning them on for the season.
- Avoid overwatering or runoff onto sidewalks and streets.
- Focus on keeping lawns healthy rather than perfectly green during hotter periods.
- Hand-water trees and shrubs as needed if irrigation is limited.
Pet Waste Reminder
Please remember to pick up after your pets and properly dispose of waste. Pet waste stations are available throughout the community, including near the pool on South Olive Court and near the mailboxes on East Lake Drive.
Trash & Recycling Reminder
Trash and recycling services for Marvella are provided by Waste Management and are scheduled for Fridays.
Please have all items placed curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Friday. If a major holiday falls on a weekday, service is typically delayed by one day for the remainder of that week. Please note that not all holidays impact service.
Upcoming holidays that may impact service include:
- Memorial Day (May 25, 2026) – Service will be delayed by one day that week.
- Independence Day (July 4, 2026) – Falls on a Saturday; observed service schedules may vary.
- Labor Day (September 7, 2026) – Service will be delayed by one day that week.
As always, residents are encouraged to securely bag trash and break down cardboard boxes to help keep the community clean and reduce overflow.
Architectural Review Reminder
Planning an exterior project this spring? Please remember that all exterior improvements require prior approval from the District’s Architectural Review Committee.
Please submit your request to Michael Schenfeld and Carlos Arreola-Karr before starting any work. Planning ahead can help avoid delays as the season picks up.
Be a Good Neighbor
As more residents spend time outdoors this spring, please be mindful of noise levels and surrounding neighbors.
See Something That Needs Attention?
If you notice anything in the community that may need attention, such as landscaping concerns, maintenance items, or damaged infrastructure, please let us know.
You can contact the District Management team at (303) 381-4960 or by email at mschenfeld@crsofcolorado.com or ckarr@crsofcolorado.com. A quick note and photo, if available, always helps us follow up more efficiently.

Seasonal Update: Dry Conditions & Water Use
With the warmer and drier winter we’ve experienced, lawns and landscaping may begin showing signs of stress earlier than usual this spring. Water providers across the region are already encouraging residents to conserve water, and Denver Water has implemented Stage 1 drought restrictions for its customers.
This includes limiting outdoor watering to two days per week during irrigation season, with watering allowed only before 10:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. Because some areas within Centennial receive water through Denver Water distributors, residents are encouraged to check with their specific provider for any applicable schedules or requirements.
Snowpack & Water Outlook
Snowpack across Colorado has been below average this year, which is contributing to increased conservation efforts heading into the summer. Since much of our water supply depends on spring snowmelt, lower snow levels can impact water availability and irrigation planning throughout the season.
Street Light Replacements in Progress
You may notice work taking place in parts of the community as select street lights are being replaced. Several of these items were reported by residents, which has been helpful in identifying areas that need attention. This work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable lighting throughout the neighborhood. Thank you for your patience while these improvements are underway.
